Workshop Objectives
On completion of this workshop you will be able to:

- Practice infection control and prevention
- Define standard and additional precautions
- Define safe waste management and handling procedures
- Demonstrate correct handwashing procedures
- Identify food handling processes
- Demonstrate knowledge of food poisoning and cross-contamination

Direct care workers, team leaders, supervisors and managers of aged care and disability services.
Workshop Duration
This is an interactive 1 1/2 hour workshop that allows participants to witness the potential spread of pathogens and to practice a range of responses to reduce the impact. The workshop has been written in reference to the following documents:

- The Infection Control Guidelines for the Prevention of Transmission of Infectious Diseases in the Health Care Setting, Department of Health and Ageing
